Methods [of eyebrow care] include the possibility of their permanent tinting. The technique of shooting and shadow feathering of eyebrows after correction is used to maintain the overall tone and smooth out the difference in color and density. What it is, what methods are used in the salon and at home, we will tell in this article.
In modern cosmetology, there are several methods of working with the upper part of the face. Particular attention is paid to the area above the eyes, which is always very noticeable and can greatly affect the perception of your image. Eyebrow feathering can be performed in the salon using tattoo techniques with a long-lasting effect of holding tone. Salon techniques also include grattage, less traumatic, but also so effective in terms of pigment retention. At home, you can create the effect of density and toning using washable cosmetics and pencils.
It is possible to make permanent feathering of eyebrows by the shadow method only in the cabin. This is staining or tinting with a special safe pigment that is applied directly to the skin with a thin sterile needle. The method is a type of tattoo and is often used for [eyebrow decoration] in several varieties:
soft eyebrow tattooing with feathering - the master draws a contour that is filled with a light tone with minimal saturation, especially in cases where the eyebrows should not contrast with blonde hair;
the technique of shooting or dense feathering - the master draws clear and saturated lines, actively fills in the gaps in the thin eyebrows, uses a dense stroke;
combined technique - with dense feathering, emphasis is placed on drawing hairs, giving volume and creating a three-dimensional effect;
The grattage technique is a variant of the least traumatic superficial tattoo, "scratching" with a needle only the uppermost layer of the skin, into which a pigment is then introduced that can last for several months.
The whole procedure takes about 60 to 90 minutes, while its great advantage remains the receipt of a natural shade due to the selection of pigments. By applying a dye with a thin sterile needle, an eyebrow tattoo specialist can change the saturation, make shade transitions, blur or accentuate individual areas and contours.
For a number of reasons, the correct feathering of eyebrows with tattooing can only be done in the salon and only professionally. The procedure has serious advantages - it is practically not painful, as it is done with anesthetics, is performed only manually, without a machine, and the recovery period of the skin lasts about a week. If the shotting technique was used, the healing process is longer. After grattaging, the skin is restored the next day.
Shooting with hair feathering requires a lot of patience and accuracy from the master - you need to draw individual hairs, observing the chosen [shape of the eyebrows] and accurately withstanding the transitions of shades. Sometimes even a difference of half a tone can become very noticeable. Therefore, before starting work, the specialist necessarily discusses with you all the details and offers options - contours, tones, saturation and frequency of drawing.
Eyebrow feathering at home is done without penetrating the skin. To do this, you can use:
special [pencil], which makes it possible to "lay" the lines of hairs;
shadows without shine - they are applied with a brush and removed during the day or evening;
henna and basma β these natural dyes do not damage the skin, but pigment it for a week or a little more.
The main task of feathering is to apply a shade to the skin to create the effect of density and shape. It can be combined with staining, and if necessary with protective[ eyebrow lamination].
Usually the result of shooting and feathering eyebrows lasts from three months to several years. It all depends on the depth of penetration, the intensity of the pigment, the individual characteristics of the skin. Masters necessarily clarify whether you have any contraindications. You can not carry out the procedure:
during the entire period of pregnancy and lactation;
with skin diseases, when pigment spots, moles, foci of inflammation are detected in the staining zone;
with the tendency of the skin to form scars;
if an allergic reaction is detected, the test is done on the spot.
Under no circumstances do this at home and with a non-sterile tool, do not use ink and paints for markers, ink and other pigments, including henna and basma. A short-term effect can be obtained with a pencil, and with surface staining with minimal risks!
